1 Day workshop Location- Bagru Cost- Rs 2250 Duration- 10 am to 5 pm Workshop cost includes 1 cotton stole (1.80 meters)/6 Napkins/2 cushions/ 2 metres fabric (Choose any one) Materials, dyes, services used in the process of block printing Tea, Mineral bottled water and biscuits Note- If time permits you can print more items such as scarves, stoles, cushion covers, bags, table covers at additional cost. If you wish to order meal (only vegetarian), that will cost additional Consumption of meat, eggs, and alcohol is strictly prohibited. In this workshop, you will have the unique opportunity to learn the art of block printing alongside skilled artisans. Through hands-on experience and collaboration, will gain insight into traditional techniques while creating their own block prints using natural dyes. Participate in our one-day workshop and learn the fundamentals of block printing from master craftspeople. You will get the opportunity to see the captivating process from beginning to end, as many motifs come together to form a harmonious design. What will be covered in this workshop? We will give you a field visit to the factory and will introduced to the materials used in block printing, such as carving tools, blocks, colors, and printing surfaces. We will give brief description about: - How designs are carved on wooden block? - How to mix and prepare colour for printing? - How block printing is done using natural dyes? In addition, it will involve learning about different types of repeats and methods for seamless pattern placement. We will show you few samples, to better understand the difference of hand block printing. Each step will be demonstrated in detail before you get down to doing it yourself. Our skilled, experienced artisan will help you choose wooden block and print the product. Throughout the workshop, you'll be encouraged to experiment and explore your creativity, whether it's through trying out different printing techniques, playing with color combinations, or experimenting with alternative printing surfaces. Overall, you can expect a dynamic and engaging workshop that provides you with the skills and confidence to create your own beautiful block-printed artwork.
