A beautiful melange of art, and artisans, DVK Handicrafts is a medium that celebrates local Indian crafts globally. Working in harmony with the immensely passionate artisans of our village, we present to you our culturally rooted products that are an ode to Indian handicrafts. Providing a platform to such ground breaking artisans of our hometown and taking their talent to the world gives us strength, mission and a sense of purpose. We are DVK Handicrafts - an artisan-driven manufacturing, exporting and wholesale supply company launched in 2015 in our homeland, Rajasthan.

With our deep-rooted trust in the art of local artisans, we take pride in sharing that all our products are handmade and dyed with vegetable colors. We offer an extensive range of bedroom, dining, clothing and home decor, all in our authentic hand-block prints, Shibori, Indigo, Dabu print, and other stitching and printing processes. Our collection consists of products in 100% cotton fabrics that last you a lifetime and become a part of your home.

Vasudev, Kanhaiya and Tapendra Swami conceived the idea of DVK Handicrafts in 2016 with an aim to connect rural artisans to the global markets and take our indigenous arts to the world. Coming from the rural lands of Rajasthan, the brothers provided employment to many salt-of-the-earth craftspersons who believed in the strength of their skill.

Hand block print process

The cornerstone of Jaipuri crafts, hand-block printing uses artfully carved wooden blocks to print on fabrics. We dip these blocks in 100% organic vegetable dyes to create mesmerising patterns like Mughal, floral, paisleys, geometrical etc on our products.

Dabu Process

Dabu comes from the Hindi word 'daab', which means 'to press.' In this process, an artfully carved wooden block is first dipped into a paste of mud, lime gum, wheat powder, and water. Then, the block is pressed onto the fabric. After drying, the fabric is dipped into the dye for colouring and left in sunlight to dry again.

Tie dye/ shibori

Shibori has always been an integral craft of India and has now gained popularity as ‘tie and dye’ globally. The process starts by gathering small portions of cloth together, tying them tightly, immersed in dyebath, dried up and finally untied to reveal irregular circles, dots, and stripes.

Kantha Process

Kantha celebrates the status of one of the most unique crafts in India. Thousands of stitches are combined to make one-of-a-kind quilts, apparel and more. Different layers of fabric are stacked and bricks are placed on their top to pull the fabric taut. Next, some lines of Kantha are stitched at bigger intervals; this works like a basting stitch to hold the structure together.
